In the photographic series “Fantom” props from television and movies that are in the background are given the center stage. The objects are set dressing props from television shows and films being shot in Los Angeles. The objects are tagged by their respective set designers or set dressors awaiting pick up, many are merely background items used for set dressing with no particular importance other than helping set the scene. The props are paired with newly written fictitious scenes utilizing the traditional script format providing the viewer a glimpse into the shows narrative. The script excerpts provide a leading role for the prop.
